The Challenge:

A recent project involved recruiting six electrical roles for permanent positions within a client’s organisation. Attega utilised targeted advertising alongside traditional sourcing methods; however, initial engagement levels were lower than anticipated.

 

To address this, further discussions were held with the client to gain a deeper understanding of the roles, long-term opportunities, and the wider needs of the business.

A discussion with the Head of Electrical and the Managing Director was conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the projects the new hires would be working on and the future of the business. Through these discussions, we learned that they would be hiring another 8-14 candidates over the next 12-18 months, specifically within their EV infrastructure projects.

 

Recognising their need for a more effective recruitment solution, Attega examined the business goals and needs for the future, rather than just what they needed initially.

With these insights, we rewrote the job adverts to highlight the projects candidates would be involved in, along with the long-term growth and stability of the EV sector. We also expanded the listed locations, significantly increasing access to a broader talent pool.

 

During these discussions, it became clear that the client was open to candidates who may not meet every requirement initially but demonstrate the potential to develop and grow within the role.

Results:

Revised job advertisements for EV infrastructure engineers were rolled out across a broader range of locations, with a focus on key criteria, benefits, project involvement, and career progression opportunities.

 

This approach led to a significant increase in both engagement and candidate responses, with high client satisfaction with the quality of talent presented and a selection of high-quality hires were sourced.
